Can I cancel my booking?

When making a booking all deposits are non-refunadable.

You can re-arrange your trip to another date up to 2 days before the date of your trip.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Canoeing in the rain is not a problem. Like any outdoor activity you have to be prepared for the weather.

If the weather is very bad and we consider it too  dangerous to be out on the water (high winds or lightening) then we may have to cancel your trip. If this happens you will have the option to rebook or have a full refund.

How many people go in a canoe?

Our canoes have 3 seats and can take 3 adults.

However, it can be easier to paddle a Canadian canoe with just two people.

You can decide how many people to put in each canoe when you book.

example; if you have a group of 18 people, you may want to select 9 canoes instead of 6

What is the Maximum number of people?

We have 10 canoes, each with 3 seats so the maximum number of people that can go is 30.

If some canoes have already been booked for a particular date then this will show up whilst making a reservation.

Can kids go canoeing?

Yes, kids can go canoeing. Any children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult in their canoe.

Please note, we only supply adult sized life jackets ( Small adult-sizes will fit most children aged 12+). Any children requiring a child-size life jacket must supply their own.

All participants must have a life jacket.

Is there a weight limit?

Yes unfortunately there is a weight limit.

Each canoe can hold a maximum of 300kg and each seat can hold 100kg.

I have never been canoeing before, is that a problem?

Not at all, we have beginners all the time and canoeing is relatively straight forward so you will get the hang of it in no time.

We will show you how to paddle before you start. We also explain how to get in and out of the canoes as well as how to stay safe on the water.

Is Pub and Paddle suitable for a stag/hen do?

Yes we regularly have groups who are on a stag or hen do. It can be a great daytime activity and a brilliant way to see Norwich if you are visiting the city. Fancy dress is always welcome too.

We have great relationships with the pubs that are on our routes as well as the Broads Authority. We ask all groups to respect the pubs and the waterways.

Pleas note any groups or individuals who appear to be under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed to take part. When stopping at the pubs, soft drinks are always acceptable!

Are there rules about drinking in the canoes?

Yes, drinking alcohol in the canoes is strictly not allowed. Soft drinks are not a problem of course.

Please note we are not a 'booze cruise'! Canoeing to pubs is supposed to be a fun and relaxing activity and does not need to involve alcohol. As well as being unsafe, it is important to remember that there are rules about being under the influence of alcohol while in a boat (just as there are for driving).

We remind groups that you will not be allowed to begin your trip if you appear to be under the influence of drink or drugs.

Can I take my dog canoeing?

We are very happy for you to take pets in the canoes. Unfortunately we do not provide pet buoyancy aids so you will need to provide these if you would like one.
