Route 3

The Red Lion, to Coldham Hall, Surlingham (one-way trip). Our longest trip takes follows the same route as the others; through Thorpe St Andrews, where you have a choice of riverside pubs and onto The Water’s Edge, Bramerton. After that you paddle along a lovely stretch of river, passing some amazing houses and winding towards the Ferry House Pub.

The final section takes you towards Brundall where you can explore Surlingham Broad along with a network of smaller waterways. This is well worth the extra effort and a ‘must-see’ for nature-lovers. You will be sure to see a variety of wildlife and might come face to face with an elusive otter. The river takes you to Coldham Hall where you can tie up the canoes and enjoy a well earned rest.
