Description
Route 3: Norwich to Coldham Hall (Surlingham) – one-way trip.
Our longest trip follows the same route as the other two; through Thorpe St Andrew, where you have a choice of riverside pubs and onto The Water’s Edge in Bramerton. After that you paddle along a lovely stretch of river, passing some amazing houses and winding towards the Ferry House pub.
The final section takes you towards Brundall where you can explore Surlingham Broad along with a network of smaller waterways. This is well worth the extra effort and a ‘must-see’ for nature-lovers. You will be sure to see a variety of wildlife and might come face to face with an elusive otter. The river takes you to Coldham Hall where you can tie up the canoes and enjoy a well earned rest.
